Healthcare technology provider Egton and Vapour Cloud form strategic partnership
Vapour Cloud, the Elland-based cloud technology provider, has entered into a strategic partnership with Egton, which provides healthcare technology and solutions.
As part of the new partnership, Vapour Cloud will support Egton in delivering next-generation voice services into its client base, utilising cloud-based technology. Egton, part of Leeds-based EMIS Group which provides connected healthcare software and services, specialises in the supply of ICT infrastructure, application software and value-added services.
Based at Lowfields Business Park, Vapour works with organisations across the UK, providing business solutions encompassing internet access, a cloud voice platform and UK-based storage, back-up and replication – all private and fully functional in the UK.
Via its partnership with Vapour, Egton will gain access to the cloud-based next generation Storm communication platform to help drive digital innovation in the healthcare market.
Tim Mercer, chief executive officer of Vapour Cloud, said: “The use of cloud amongst healthcare organisations is growing rapidly year-on-year.
“Like many other industries, healthcare is moving toward cloud-based technologies to help drive efficiencies and streamline processes for employees, ultimately delivering enhanced services to patients.
“We are delighted to be working with Egton to support the delivery of next generation communication across their client base.”
Stephen Wilcock, managing director of Egton, added:“The uptake of new technology in the NHS is key to providing the cost and efficiency savings set out in the NHS forward view. Cloud telephony is a prime example of how such technology can have a measurable impact on the way healthcare organisations deliver their essential operations.”
“Vapour Cloud offer expertise and innovation in this field making them the ideal partners for us on this project.
“Delivering a fit for purpose and feature rich hosted voice solution for our customers was a key priority for our business in 2016. For this to happen we needed to find a partner who truly understood the technical relationship between voice and data. Vapour proved to be ideal from both a technical and professional perspective.”
