Sam and Jacob new trainee investment advisers
Sheffield’s Investec Wealth & Investment, based on Napier Street, has appointed two new trainee investment advisers as part of enhancing its wealth management team.
Sam Olley from Walkley and Jacob Hutchinson, who lives in the Peak District, are both working towards their Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (CISI) Diplomas, which will see them eventually qualifying as Investment Managers.
As part of his Chartered Wealth Management studies, Sam has recently successfully completed his Investment Advice Diploma, with it taking approximately two years to become fully qualified.
Prior to joining Investec Wealth & Investment, Sam worked for five years for insurance company Aviva in Sheffield. He is a graduate of the University of Sheffield in Law. A keen cyclist, Sam will fit in well as Sheffield’s Investec Wealth & Investment regularly organises cycle challenges to raise money for local charities.
Jacob graduated from Newcastle University in 2015 with a degree in History and has spent the last five and a half months travelling, which has involved visiting several countries in South America, finishing with a trip to the Rio Olympics. He is a keen runner and footballer and will be competing in a number of triathlons next year and a charity Ironman competition.
Matthew Beddall, Divisional Director at Investec Wealth & Investment, said: “We believe in investing in our future talent, training high calibre graduates like Sam and Jacob and giving them the opportunity to progress within the business. We wish them both well with their studies and in their future career with us.”
