Mobile tailoring business I Am Suit launches in Manchester
A new business offering bespoke tailoring services has launched in Manchester.
I Am Suit, which says it is the city’s first-ever mobile tailoring firm, will focus on customised suits and shirts with the aim of making bespoke tailoring more widely accessible.
With a team covering Greater Manchester and the wider North West, the company hopes to allow customers to avoid the high streets and instead order a suit at a time and location of their choice.
Adam Poppitt, the founder and director of I Am Suit, has worked in clothing retail for more than 10 years.
He said: “We felt frustrated with high prices for an off the rack suit and thought there must be a way to make tailored clothing more accessible.
“We also hated the experience of buying a suit on the high street, so we formed I Am Suit.”
He continued: “At I Am Suit, not only can we offer high quality and affordable bespoke menswear, we have created a shopping experience with a difference, where you don’t have to leave the comfort of your home!”
The firm said it will keep the tailoring experience simple by offering clients a three-step process – ‘book’, where the I Am Suit team takes customers through a free style consultation; ‘fit’, where the material, lining and design are chosen and measurements taken; and ‘wear’, which will see the tailored suit delivered.
Adam added: “We believe tailored clothing should be for everyone, and I Am Suit has made that possible.”
