Regus to launch workspace hub within ‘iconic’ Newcastle building
Regus, the international workspace provider, is expanding in the North East with its third Newcastle hub.
The company’s new facility will comprise 16,600 sq ft across three floors within the Cale Cross office building, which commands panoramic views of the Tyne Bridge.
Once operational, the venue will give businesses and entrepreneurs access to more than 40 offices with options for co-working space, meeting rooms and virtual office services
According to Regus, the demand for flexible workspace is growing as companies increasingly look to save money on lengthy leases and offer staff greater freedom in where and when they work.
Richard Morris, Regus’ UK chief executive, said: “Cale Cross is an iconic building in a fantastic location and a welcome addition to our Newcastle network.
“Regus’ continued investment in Newcastle is testament to the strong demand for flexible workspace amongst the city’s professionals.”
He continued: “Our Merchant House centre has been successful in its first year and we expect similar success for Cale Cross.
“Based on the experience of our other Newcastle locations, we expect strong take-up from a real variety of businesses, from local start-ups and remote workers, to national firms and global businesses establishing a footprint in the city.”
In addition to its new centre at Cale Cross, Regus operates business hubs at Rotterdam House on Newcastle Quayside and Merchant House on Cloth Market.
