Bowker Motor Group to create 30 jobs with region’s biggest aftersales facility
North West dealership Bowker Motor Group will create 30 jobs over the next five years with the launch of a new aftersales facility in Preston.
The Bowker Aftersales Centre will be the largest of its kind in the region and more than triple the firm’s car servicing capacity.
The facility will be built on a 6.5-acre site on Watery Lane next to the existing Bowker BMW and MINI centres.
Preston-based architectural and planning consultancy firm Cassidy + Ashton has been chosen to design the seven-figure development.
Bowker’s aftersales director, Jonathan Rogan, said: “The new facility has a simple focus on creating an even better aftersales experience for our customers.
“We’ll be able to combine our usual friendly advice with same-day servicing. And the increase in capacity will mean that appointments won’t always be necessary.”
He added: “We know our customers lead busy lives so we hope this additional flexibility will make a big difference.”
Once complete, the aftersales centre will take the total footprint of Bowker Motor Group buildings on Preston docks to more than 11 acres, including Bowker MINI, Bowker BMW and Bowker Motorrad – the 12,809 sq ft motorbike showroom launched last year.
