Halifax firm to unveil innovative hospital bed at major global healthcare event
A family owned business from Halifax is set to unveil its new innovative hospital bed at the MEDICA event and exhibition this month.
Sidhil, which is one of the main suppliers of hospital beds and cots to the NHS, will launch its Innovative IQ ICU bed with X-Ray backrest at the big healthcare event in Dusselforf taking place 14 to 17 November.
The firm, which also supplies trolleys and other assorted furniture, has developed the new bed with a focus on patient safety, clinical needs, infection control and ease of use, along with an x-ray translucent backrest to help position patients for x-ray.
The bed has been designed and manufactured at Sidhil’s purpose-built factory in Halifax, the firm’s Yorkshire hub where it develops all of its product range.
Graham Turner, Sidhil Sales & Marketing Director, said that the MEDICA event is an ideal opportunity to attract new international buyers and contracts, particularly in light of the weakening pound.
He said: “Sidhil has an excellent reputation for working closely with our existing international distributors by offering as much support as possible when entering new markets.
“As a result of the weakening pound, overseas customers purchasing from companies such as ourselves in the UK are saving 17% on costs, so it is an extremely attractive time to develop relationships with new international distributors.
“We have enjoyed great recent success in the Middle East and we are looking forward to welcoming organisations from there and all over the world to become part of the Sidhil distribution team.”
