Manchester wholesaler Hi Group Ltd launches ecommerce platform HiHouse.co.uk
Manchester-based wholesaler Hi Group Ltd is expanding online with the launch of a new ecommerce platform.
Going live on Thursday (November 10), HiHouse.co.uk will look to break into the discount market with more than 1,300 products across the four key categories of household, toiletries, pet and baby care.
Offering next-day delivery as standard, HiHouse’s range will consist of household brands such as Whiskas, Pedigree, Andrex, Pampers, Fairy, Ariel and others.
HiHouse’s operations consist of a central Manchester HQ and 60,000 sq ft distribution centre at Trafford Park.
Alanah Flannery, the company’s head of buying, said: “To me, HiHouse is about offering real value with the added convenience of online ordering and deliveries right to your door.
“Price is key in the current climate and for the foreseeable future.”
She continued: “Our everyday low pricing across all your weekly household, pet, health, toiletries and baby must-haves, gives us a key point of difference versus our online competitors and will speak for itself to streetwise, price conscious customers.”
HiHouse MD Mukesh Karsan said the firm has invested heavily in “team expertise, a state-of-the-art ecommerce platform and ordering system”.
He commented: “After 15 years of trading internationally, it’s great to be setting up a consumer-facing shop window in my hometown.
“We’re already looking to expand the product range and open more distribution centres around the country.”
HiHouse.co.uk’s launch this week is supported with advertising by marketing company JCDecaux.
Manchester Mummy blogger Holly Wood said of the new website: ’’Leaving the house with a toddler in tow is always a feat in itself.
“To then add a few heavy bags of cleaning bits and pet food into the mix, makes for a situation I’d much rather avoid.”
She added: “HiHouse is going to be a welcome relief from the daily trek to the shops, especially at this time of year.”
