Tait Walker’s Little Snowdog makes a big impact
TAIT WALKER has shown its continued support for the Great North Snowdogs Trail by inviting one of the pupils from Westfield School to Seven Stories for a photo shoot with Plasma, the Little Snowdog she designed.
Joined by Claire Blake, marketing executive at Tait Walker who heads up the charity committee, and Andrew Moorby, managing partner at Tait Walker, 14-year-old Aoife Devin proudly stood by Plasma and talked about the design that she worked so closely on with her art teacher.
Taking her inspiration from microbiology, thanks to the exam she was studying for at the time of creating her artwork, Aoife explained: “I find the building blocks of life such as DNA strands and chromosomes both fascinating and beautiful.
“There’s so much detail and intricacy that can be captured when seen under a microscope and I wanted to use my design to celebrate this vitally important, yet invisible part of our world.”
Andrew commented: “Tait Walker is proud to be part of the Great North Snowdogs Trail and it’s been fantastic to work so closely with Westfield School on the Little Snowdogs.
“The thought and detail that has gone in to Aoife’s design is really impressive and it was great to meet her and learn more about it.”
Plasma’s inspiring surroundings at Seven Stories is the perfect place to spot several Little Snowdogs – including another design by a junior pupil at Westfield School. Tait Walker’s Big Snowdog, Addam Upright, can be found at Gosforth Central Park.
