Please do mention the elephant in the room!
DON’T mention the elephant in the room? The team at GDA Creative Marketing rather hope you will!
For the company has bought one of the famous elephants from the hugely popular Sheffield Children’s Hospital Herd of Sheffield campaign.
And it is now taking pride of place in GDA’s new headquarters at the Fox Valley development in Stocksbridge, where she can be clearly seen by passing motorists and pedestrians.
Managing Director Alistair Farrant was one of the bidders at the Herd’s final auction and he was delighted when he managed to acquire Elephant Inside Out, created by acclaimed artist Gillian Higgins.
During the summer-long Herd of Sheffield campaign Gillian’s sculpture could be seen outside Sheffield Hallam University in the city centre.
“We were delighted to be able to contribute to the auction and give this fantastic and unique work of art a new home,” said Alistair.
“Once we got her out to Stocksbridge we were keen to position her where she could continue to be enjoyed by everybody in the area and not just by GDA visitors. Our new office has huge windows overlooking one of the main entrances to Fox Valley, so we made sure she was placed there so everyone can take a look.
“Herd of Sheffield was such a huge success for both the Children’s Hospital and the city as a whole and now she’s in her new home we hope we are giving our elephant a whole new lease of life and that she will prove as popular as ever.”
