hcm interiors secures prestigious international award

Yorkshire based restaurant and bar fit-out contractor hcm interiors has won a coveted international award for the delivery of a new Nando’s restaurant in central London.

The restaurant, which is located on City Road close to London’s Old Street and Shoreditch areas, opened earlier this year.

Nando’s won the Best Multiple Restaurant Award at the Restaurant and Bar Design Awards ceremony which were held at The Old Truman Brewery in London.

This year is the eighth year of The Restaurant & Bar Design Awards, which is the world’s only event dedicated exclusively to the design of food and drink design spaces. The awards cover a diverse range of projects, from ships to airports, museums to burger vans, and from Michelin-starred establishments to new pop-up concepts, throughout the world.

With over 5000 entries from the UK and 70 other countries in the past seven years, the awards attract the world’s top contractors, designers, hospitality operators and judges.

The City Road project is one of twenty restaurants completed to date for Nando’s by hcm interiors. The restaurant features a striking interior including an array of contrasting wooden tiles to both walls and ceilings.

hcm interiors Managing Director, Jason Beedle said: “We were delighted to be part of the team that won this prestigious award which recognises the innovative design and striking impact of the Old Street scheme.

“Nando’s remains one of our key clients, and whilst it is always satisfying to deliver a demanding contract on time and under budget, this award recognises the hard work and commitment of the project team, as well as demonstrating the high quality of service provided by our company as a whole, which is very rewarding.”

Other hcm interiors clients include Goodman Restaurants, Burger & Lobster, Zelman Meats, The Alchemist and Tom Kerridge.
