Newcastle University Business School hosts business Brexit lecture
Newcastle University Business School is hosting an event around the potential implications of Brexit, where a leading academic will discuss whether the EU has made us richer and whether leaving the EU will make us poorer.
The internationally renowned Business School is opening up the event, which is hosted by Dr Roxana Radulescu, to businesses which are invited to attend to join in the discussion.
Nils Braakmann, senior lecturer in economics at Newcastle University Business School, said: “The decision to leave the EU has divided the nation and led to many questions about the impact it will have and what the future will look like. Our Brexit lectures, hosted by some of our top academic experts, will take an evidence-based look at the key areas affected and will explore broad topics such as immigration, trade and the NHS.
“At Newcastle University Business School, we are committed to improving business thinking and socially and ethically responsible practices. We would actively encourage businesses to come along, collaborate and share their questions and thoughts with us.”
Has the EU made us richer and will leaving make us poorer? takes place on Wednesday 7 December, 2016, from 5.30pm to 7.30pm
