Redsun begins work on Bromborough Power Station development
Liverpool-based Redsun Developments has started on-site construction works at its Power Station development in Bromborough, Wirral, which is due for completion in summer 2017.
The 95,000sqft scheme is being delivered on a 5-acre former Power Station site acquired from Homes & Communities Agency earlier this year.
The project is the firm’s sixth development on the Wirral in recent years, having completed over 300,000sqft of commercial floorspace which is all fully occupied.
Eric Wright Construction has been appointed by Redsun to build its 170,000sqft manufacturing facility for Domino Printing Sciences in Bootle, whilst Portal Construction are delivering the Power Station scheme in addition to the second phase of Canada Dock Exchange on Derby Road, Liverpool.
Instructed agents on the Power Station development are Legat Owen and B8 Real Estate.
Craig Booton, Director, Redsun Developments, said: “We know the Wirral market very well and are confident we are delivering the right product in this location.
“Enquiries are already very strong and we expect to conclude deals with occupiers in the coming months. It’s a very busy time for us and seeing these 3 major schemes on-site is a great way to end the year.
“2017 looks like being just as busy as we have planning consents in place for 85,000sqft in two new locations for us, plus a further 100,000sqft in planning stages.”
