Approach PR team expands with graduate
Multi award-winning public relations consultancy Approach PR has expanded its Ilkley-based team with the addition of blogger and experienced London intern, Georgia Shepheard.
Lancaster University English Literature graduate and Ilkley resident Georgia (21), has been appointed as Junior Account Executive after showing her skills and commitment during a work placement with the team in September.
A former university newspaper editor and author of her blog ‘The Active Intern’, Georgia progressed her passion for copywriting and social media during work placements across the consumer press including Grazia and Essentials.
Georgia said: “I am thrilled to be joining a multi-award winning PR agency that has the perfect mix of traditional and social media accounts. It’s fantastic to know that Approach PR recognised my potential during my work placement and as a digital native I’m looking forward to applying my knowledge, experience and creativity to their exciting bank of b2b and b2c clients.”
Approach PR specialises in media relations, digital media, B2B and B2C public relations and event and campaign management for clients including Airedale Chemical, Kirkgate Shopping, Acorn Stairlifts, Délifrance UK Ltd and the Business Enterprise Fund. With over 40 combined years of PR and media experience, the agency also delivers bespoke PR and social media training under its training arm, Approachability.
Founder and managing director Suzanne Watson added: “Georgia came to us with a willingness to learn and an incredible drive that we couldn’t let pass us by. We’re incredibly committed to developing new talent and with engaging and diverse multi-channel content key to many of our client accounts, Georgia’s experience, passion and commitment make her a perfect fit for our expanding team.”
