Northumberland rooflight manufacturer Xtralite acquired by JET Group
Northumberland-based Xtralite, one of the UK’s largest manufacturers of customised rooflights and structural glazing, has been acquired by German-headquartered rooflight giant JET Group for an undisclosed fee.
Xtralite’s founder Bob Tweedy, who launched the firm 24 years ago in 1993, will continue to play an active role in the business.
He commented: “This partnership with JET Group ensures a bright future for all at Xtralite and allows us to tap into the vast resource JET Group has to offer.”
Newcastle law firm Hay & Kilner advised Xtralite’s management team throughout the sale, with corporate finance partner, Mark Adams, leading the deal.
Mark commented: “We have worked with Bob and the rest of the management team for many years, supporting the company as they expanded.
“This marks the start of a new and exciting phase for Xtralite and we wish them every success.”
Bob added: “I’m looking forward to seeing Xtralite thrive with its new found relationships.”
