New £500k Chester base for energy consultancy Power Solutions
Fit-out and refurbishment company Overbury has completed work on a six-figure project to deliver a new HQ for Chester-based energy consultancy Power Solutions in Chester.
The £500k scheme saw Overbury, part of construction business Morgan Sindall Group, fit out a 6,000 sq ft office for Power Solutions’ 60-strong team at developer Muse Developments’ One City Place.
The primarily open-plan space includes meeting rooms, cellular offices and a 34-seater kitchen that turns into a Salsa studio every Thursday.
Power Solutions COO Lisa Cooper commented: “We chose to work with Overbury as we had very ambitious environmental and sustainability goals – and the team didn’t disappoint, achieving a commendable recycling rate of 93% for all construction waste.
“Throughout the project, communication with the Overbury team on site was consistent and clear and we could see how our vision was being delivered step by step.”
Philip Westwood, Overbury’s Northern director, said of the project: “Power Solutions was in a much more cellular space before and the business leaders felt that its outdated working environment had a detrimental effect on communication and its overall culture.
“After demonstrating exciting new ways of working and how our other clients have transformed their workspaces, we worked with Power Solutions to create a modern office that fosters a more open and collaborative organisational culture.”
