Hill Dickinson scoops Litigation Team of the Year
HILL DICKINSON has won Litigation Team of the Year at the Manchester Legal Awards.
The annual awards ceremony is one of the most prestigious events in the Manchester legal sector’s calendar recognizing and celebrating the achievements of the legal sector across the city.
Hill Dickinson’s head of commercial litigation Geraldine Ryan accepted the award following a successful year for the team during which they also moved from Band 2 to Band 1 in the 2016 Legal 500.
The acclaimed team has been nominated for two national awards in the last 12 months – the Legal 500 Dispute Resolution Regional Firm of the Year 2016 and The Lawyer Litigation team of the year.
Geraldine Ryan, head of the commercial litigation team and head of the Manchester office, said: “We have worked hard in Manchester to become serious litigation contenders and this award demonstrates what a fantastic year we have had as a team.
“The team continues to grow organically, promoting from within, retaining trainees, in addition to key lateral hires.”
“Last year we moved up to legal 500 Tier 1 and that was fantastic but winning this award has been the icing on the cake.
“To get this in our city and to be recognised amongst top tier firms like Eversheds, DLA and Addleshaw Goddard is a huge deal for us, as Hill Dickinson marks 20 years in Manchester.”
