Gary Takes The Helm at Wrexham Volkswagen!
Gary Wood, 37, has been promoted to Brand Manager at Swansway Group’s Wrexham Volkswagen centre.
He began his motor trade career straight from college in 1997 when he became a Trainee Sales Executive at a Volvo dealership and he’s never looked back. In 2007 he joined Swansway as Sales Manager at Stoke Audi, moving to his General Sales Manager role at Wrexham Volkswagen in 2012 and is delighted to step up to his new role, “The last ten years have flown by and I’m proud to become Brand Manager of such a great team; Wrexham Volkswagen is a real family and I know that together we can continue to give our customers a great experience and I’m genuinely looking forward to being captain of the ship”.
Swansway Group Director John Smyth commented, “This role only became vacant due to Jane Hargreaves, our previous Brand Manager, deciding to explore the world beyond the motor trade and we wish Jane success and happiness in whatever she does. Promoting Gary was a simple decision, he has been an excellent Sales Manager during his ten years with our business and I know he will be excellent in this role. Good luck to him”.
Gary is a fanatical gym-goer and runner, despite the fact that, “My body can’t really take it anymore, I’m always injured with one thing or another, but I never give up or give in, which is probably one reason I’ve now got my dream role”!
