Enjoy Bradford: Share the Experience

Visit Bradford, the tourism department for Bradford Metropolitan District Council has launched an online competition to find the best view in Bradford and district.

Visitors to Bradford are being encouraged to share their favourite view of Bradford and district on social media using the hashtag #enjoybradford for the chance to win a weekend break for two in the city.

Talking about the competition, Patricia Tillotson, tourism manager at Visit Bradford, said: “Bradford is such a unique destination. After all, where else can you enjoy a great city, two amazing UNESCO world heritage sites, stunning countryside and fascinating heritage? As well as finding the best view in Bradford, we hope that the competition will help people find new ways to explore and enjoy everything has to offer. The competition is now open and we can’t wait to see Bradford and the surrounding areas through the eyes of those who work in, live in and travel to the district.”

The prize includes an overnight stay for two in the Midland Hotel, £50 to spend in the Broadway Shopping Centre, two tickets for a show at the Alhambra Theatre, a pre-theatre meal and drinks package at the VIP Laidler Bar,Cocktails at Sunbridge Wells, IMAX tickets and a drink at the National Science and Media Museum and a day rover ticket so that you can explore the wider Bradford area via bus or train.

To enter this exciting competition, simply take a quick photograph while out and about in Bradford and share the image on Facebook, Twitter Instagram and Flickr using the competition hashtag - #enjoybradford. Your photo will be automatically entered into this competition for a chance to win the weekend break in bradford.

Councillor Sarah Ferriby, said: “Whether you love the great outdoors and enjoy walking through the idyllic countryside in Ilkley and Wharfedale, or enjoy being amazed by the laser lights, mist and water effects in City Park, one thing is for sure, you won’t be short of fantastic views to share!”

Entries close 5pm Tuesday 2nd May. Entrants can enter as many images as they wish so get snapping and sharing!

If you need some inspiration, all photographs will appear on the dedicated competition website www.enjoybradford.co.uk.

Entries will be assessed by Visit Bradford and the winner will be announced on social media on Friday 12th May at midday.
