RW Invest announces new student scheme for Liverpool’s £2bn Knowledge Quarter
Liverpool-based property investment firm RW Invest has announced the launch of a new student accommodation development in the heart of the city’s £2bn Knowledge Quarter.
The scheme, One Islington Plaza, will create 317 studio and en suite cluster apartments.
Located next to the new £330m Royal Liverpool Hospital, less than 100m from the University of Liverpool, RW Invest is aiming to give students easy access to the city’s bustling higher education and research communities.
RW Invest is partnering up with property firms NewRegen and PropertyCloud9 to deliver One Islington Plaza, which will feature 24/7 security, a residents’ gym, cinema, games room and an on-site coffee shop run by local firm Crosby Coffee.
RW Invest director Michael Gledhill said: “We are really excited to be a part of Liverpool Knowledge Quarter’s regeneration and One Islington Plaza will give students both convenient access to universities and high quality accommodation.
“As a company based in Liverpool, we are seeing the effects the regeneration projects and investments are having on the city.”
He continued: “More students are attracted to study in Liverpool and therefore demand for quality accommodation is high; we think the Knowledge Quarter is the perfect base for these students.”
Discussing RW Invest’s partnership with NewRegen and PropertyCloud9, he added: “With Liverpool’s top developer and a top management company on board, we know One Islington Plaza will be a great addition to the regeneration in this area.”
