FairFX has announced a new tie-up with EasyJet founder’s forex firm
London-based FairFX, which provides multicurrency payment services, has entered into an agreement to offer its currency card, cash and international payments services through easyCurrency.
The partnership will open up a significant new market for the FX firm, giving it access to customers from across the easyGroup, which is owned by Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, including easyJet and easyHotels.
Through the online easyCurrency portal, which looks to undercut the conversion rates offered on the high street, travellers will be given access to FairFX’s services along with ‘preferential rates’ which the financial business say will continue for the lifetime of the agreement.
Ian Strafford-Taylor, Chief Executive Officer, commented: “Partnering with easyCurrency and developing an association with easyGroup is a fantastic opportunity for FairFX.
“Our values are aligned with Sir Stelios’, in that we are always aiming to deliver an excellent customer experience and quality services at competitive rates, helping our customers’ money go further.”
Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, Chairman of easyGroup, added: “The prohibitive cost of currency exchange has nearly always put a downer on travel plans. Now whether on holiday or on business our customers should be able to get that bit extra from their cash to enjoy their trip.”
