SME Marketing Consultancy Reaches Franchise Growth Milestone

A Leeds-based marketing consultancy is celebrating the opening of its tenth franchise.

Opportunity Marketing now has ten highly-experienced marketing strategists operating as consultant franchisees, providing support for SMEs throughout the UK.

Opportunity Marketing was set-up in the summer of 2008 by founder Ian Kirk, who saw a gap in the market for a marketing consultancy dedicated towards the SME market and with a specific focus on developing marketing strategy for clients before project managing implementation.

In August 2013, Opportunity Marketing took on its first franchisee and over the past four years it has grown to reach a team of ten consultants, with the model allowing the company to double its turnover in the past 12 months.

Ian said: “We’re extremely proud of this growth milestone. Our goal now is to bring on-board 50 consultants operating around the UK, with additional master franchisees located in other countries around the world. The business is already in dialogue with a potential master franchisee in Southern Ireland and once tested properly we’ll roll-out the model to other English speaking countries, and then further new territories thereafter.”

Opportunity Marketing’s team of marketing consultants all bring different industry experience with them, but are trained to follow the same unique structured process which has been proven to generate a positive return on investment for their clients, typically achieving a 400%-500% average return across all sectors.

The consultants consist of Ian Kirk, Danielle Ward, Vicky Holt, Diane Long, Catherine Kimmer, Dave Iles, Melanie Scott, Alister Ross, Ailsa Bates and Rachel Proctor and geographical coverage now stretches from Edinburgh to Berkshire.

West Yorkshire based Opportunity Marketing consultant, Vicky Holt, explains: “So many SMEs across the country simply carry out a scatter-gun approach to marketing without measuring the end results, which can have a damaging effect to the business. Our unique approach, which includes a marketing health check audit and implementation framework, enables us to pinpoint exactly where small businesses are wasting their budgets. Furthermore, we create a meaningful marketing strategy and, where required, assist clients to correctly carry out the recommended activity, which ultimately has been proven to have a demonstrably positive impact on the businesses we serve.”

Opportunity Marketing is seeking more talented marketing strategists to form part of their ever-growing SME consultancy firm. Additionally, they have recently rolled-out full day ‘discover marketing’ training workshops aimed at SME owners or junior marketing staff who are looking for a step-by-step guide on how to create a marketing strategy.
