Liverpool Recruitment Company to expand with £1.5m funding
The Liverpool Recruitment Company has secured a £1.5m funding line to shore up the next stage of its growth plans.
The Dale Street-based firm is looking to Bibby Financial Services (BFS) for support after working with the Merseyside lender less than a year ago.
Liverpool Recruitment Company, which offers recruiting for the engineering, manufacturing, rail, nuclear and other highly skilled sectors, said it almost doubled its turnover in 2016 thanks to BFS.
MD Darren Fulton said: “We have worked with BFS since 2009 when we relied on BFS to fund our early growth.
“Since then we’ve grown significantly and we are once again turning to BFS to fund the next stage of our journey.”
He added: “It has been really valuable for us to have a funding partner that understands our business, who can step in and help us realise our ambition to expand even further.”
Bibby Financial Services’ corporate manager, Luke Fitzsimmons, commented: “Businesses like The Liverpool Recruitment Company need to be able to draw on a large cash flow supply given the nature of the temporary recruitment sector and we were only too pleased to be able to meet their funding needs.
“At BFS we understand the pressures and challenges that recruiters face, not only in their early development years but also when they become established businesses with many clients on their books.”
Speaking further, Luke said Darren Fulton and his team have “developed a really strong, established presence in the recruitment sector”.
He added: “It is wonderful to be working with them again. We’re proud to be able to once again support a local Liverpool business.”
