Regency Residential moves forward with Trafford Plaza development
Property and advisory firm Regency Residential has secured the go-ahead to build a 174-apartment scheme in Old Trafford.
The 16-storey Trafford Plaza development will offer views over nearby Seymour Park and the Manchester city centre skyline, bringing 64 one-bedroom and 110 two-bedroom homes to the market.
Chris Taylor, managing director of Regency Residential, part of MCR Property Group, said: “Bringing 174 high-spec apartments to the area, which is located in close proximity to the internationally known football and cricket grounds, is another example of the exciting projects we are bringing forward.
“Predominantly, development in the area has been in the form of Permitted Development (office to residential) and we are delighted to offer the first major, high quality, new build scheme in the area which will lift the area due to the quality of design.”
He added: “Now we have received the go-ahead, we will be launching the development to the market very soon.”
Established earlier this year, Regency Residential has already achieved more than £20m in sales.

Chris Taylor continued: “We are grateful to the planning officers who provided a very professional, responsive, firm, clear and diligent service throughout.
“Having secured permission to launch Trafford Plaza, we are in the process of submitting planning for two 1000+ unit schemes in Manchester and Birmingham amongst numerous other planning applications we are currently running.”
