Don’t Bottle It Up: HR Professionals Serve Up Free Advice
A Derbyshire based company of HR professionals is launching the first in a series of free events, which aims to provide local business owners and managers with valuable advice about the people management challenges they may be facing.
Next Steps HR, will be holding its first ever HR Heroes event on Thursday 13 July at The Bottle Kiln, West Hallam, from 10am-12pm.
The free event invites you to drop in for a coffee and a chat with HR professionals Neena Sharma and Amanda Bayliss, to draw on their years of industry knowledge and expertise, and help you resolve any work related issues you may be struggling with.
Neena said: “Whether it’s absence or appraisals, disciplinaries or development, or just making sense of the mountain of complex employment legislation, it can be difficult to know the next step to take when it comes to managing people.”
“We have decided to host these free events so that any local business in need of some professional advice can pop in to the lovely surroundings of the Bottle Kiln, grab a coffee and have a chat with us.”
“We hope the launch of our first event in West Hallam will attract business people from Derby, Nottingham, and everywhere in between! This will be the first of what we hope will become a regular series of events held at various venues across the East Midlands”
As well as being a HR professional, Neena is a skilled and qualified business and personal coach. She has many years of boardroom experience in large multinationals and smaller local firms. Amanda boasts knowledge and experience, having worked as a HR Director with a variety of successful owner-managed businesses locally for many years.
The pair’s combined talents have enabled them to become confident and skilled in giving practical advice on a variety of topics, including: employee relations, managing recruitment, retention, absence, disciplinaries, grievances, appraisals and pay reviews, as well as identifying and supporting the strategic HR needs of any business.
