Record sales highlight strength of housing market in Yorkshire
Local housebuilder, Barratt Developments Yorkshire, which includes both the Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes brands, announces another year of record output, having completed 1,437 homes across the region over the last financial year.
The news comes as the housebuilder also reveals strong sales from its previous financial year, with reservations up 16% like for like, with over 1,200 homebuyers choosing a Barratt or David Wilson Home in the region.
The housebuilder also has another 30 developments planned across Yorkshire this year and is urging house hunters to take advantage of the government’s Help to Buy scheme and the developer’s innovative Part Exchange offering.
Paul Hogan, Sales Director for Barratt Homes Yorkshire East, said: “Our sales have been strong in the last year, and as these figures show, buyers in the region remain confident in the sector and about investing in the property market. We have a further 30 developments planned across Yorkshire in the next financial year, and are confident about our investment in the region.”
Ian Ruthven, Managing Director for Barratt Homes Yorkshire West, said: “We’ve seen no slowing of our sales in the region, demonstrating buyers’ confidence in the housing market and the homes we have available. I’m thrilled this has been another strong year for Barratt Developments and would urge those interested in buying a property to look around our local developments and speak to our knowledgeable sales advisors about the mortgage options available to them – now is a great time to buy!”
