So who’s settling into a new job this week? Get caught up with the latest appointments across the North West.

Anna Grumm and Libbi McGibbon, BDB

B2B marketing communications consultancy, BDB, has welcomed two faces to its creative and client handling on back of some significant new business wins.

Libbi McGibbon joins as a senior production executive from digital agency Gooey and will work with BDB’s network of suppliers to support the delivery of international campaigns.

New account executive Anna Grumm has joined the consultancy having recently graduated from Birmingham City University with a first-class degree in Marketing, Advertising and PR.

Working across a range of BDB’s accounts, Anna will assist with client liaison, media relations, technical copywriting and, as a native German speaker, will support its international language support services.

Nathan Matta, Lichfields

Nathan Matta, the associate director at planning and development consultancy Lichfields’ Manchester office, has been promoted to planning director following nine years service at the firm.

Matta, who has been involved in major North West developments including Woodford Aerodrome and the Co-Operative Group’s HQ development, had previously worked in the public and private sectors before joining Lichfields.

Following his promotion, the Environmental Impact Assessment expert said: “I look forward to continuing to contribute to the fantastic work that Lichfields has been doing across the North West.

“The company has gone from strength to strength both in the region and nationwide and I am really pleased to be part of such a dynamic and forward thinking planning consultancy.”

Michael Watts, senior director and head of Lichfields Manchester office, added: “Nathan is a real asset to the office. He has played a key role in securing planning permission for many regionally important schemes and adds real value to Lichfields planning offer in the North-West.

“We are delighted to be able to recognise his outstanding efforts with this promotion to the position of Planning Director.”

Margo Hayward, NCC Group

Manchester-headquartered NCC Group has appointed Margo Hayward as its new global sales director at its escrow division.

Hayward assumes the newly created position after spending three years at the company’s cyber security and risk mitigation team, and will be charged with driving global revenue growth as part of its escrow push.

Margo commented: “NCC Group was always top of my list as a forward-thinking technology provider.

“The support of the company and leadership team has given me the chance to be part of creating and executing the strategy of the division. I’m excited by the opportunity that my new role presents and the potential for further growth.”

Daniel Liptrott, managing director of NCC Group’s escrow division added: “The appointment of Margo to this new position is essential in bringing together each region within our division, allowing us to share best-practice globally.

“Margo’s experience in technology sales, as well as her drive, enthusiasm and inclusive approach will stand her in good stead in this role.”

Emma Watson, Hodder+Partners

Architectural practice Hodder+Partners has appointed Emma Watson from London-based Hugh Broughton Architects.

The Manchester School of Architecture graduate, who has a Postgraduate Diploma Professional Practice from University of Westminster, has previously worked on the £18m roof extension and internal refurbishment for the Treasury Building at The Honourable Society of the Inner Temple, London.

Stephen, Visiting Professor at Salford University, said: “Emma is a talented and creative architect. She also has an eye for detail, has worked with listed buildings in sensitive locations and is a great addition to the team at what is an exciting time for the practice.

“Emma will be Project Architect for the £30m RHS Garden Bridgewater project which was given the go-ahead this year.”

Emma added: “I’m very excited to be joining Hodder and Partners as the practice is hugely respected, not just in Manchester, but across the architecture sector.

“My focus is very much on delivering high quality schemes, which I know is something Hodder and Partners is renowned for.”
