Record sales highlight strength of housing market in the North East
Local housebuilder, Barratt Developments North East, which includes both the Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes brands, has announced another year of record output in 2016/17. The news comes as the housebuilder also reveals strong sales from its previous financial year, with reservations up 11% like for like.
The housebuilder, which was recently awarded the maximum five star rating from the Home Builders Federation for the eighth consecutive year, also has another nine developments planned across the North East this year and is encouraging house hunters to take advantage of the government’s Help to Buy scheme and the developer’s innovative Part Exchange offering.
Carl Sobolewski, Finance Director for Barratt Developments North East, said: “Our sales have been strong in the last year, and as these figures show, buyers in the region remain confident in the sector and about investing in the property market. We’re excited to see the impact that our new developments will have over the next financial year, and are confident about our investment in the region.”
Scott Martin, Managing Director for Barratt Developments North East said: “We’ve seen no slowing of our sales in the region, demonstrating buyers’ confidence in the housing market and the homes we have available. I’m very proud that this has been another strong year for Barratt Developments, which was founded here in the North East, and would urge those interested in buying a property to look around our local developments and speak to our knowledgeable sales advisers about the mortgage options available to them – now is a great time to buy!”
