A property regeneration group joins new office letting in Hammersmith area
In partnership with Aberdeen Standard Investments, U+I has announced WeWork is the latest company to join its community of brands at 12 Hammersmith Grove, London.
Acting as a global group for creators, WeWork has signed a lease to occupy 52,837 sq-ft which represents over 30 per cent of the entire building.
12 Hammersmith Grove, which opened in November 2016, is now 75 per cent full, with further deals expected in the near future of floors four and five.
Matthew Weiner, CEO, commented: “Hammersmith is firmly established as a hub for ambitious brands, and 12 Hammersmith Grove has further enriched this business community.
“We are on track and pleased with the progress we are making, and with the calibre of occupiers that the building is attractive.”
Funded by Aberdeen Standard Investments, 12 Hammersmith Grove provides 170,000 sq-ft of office space over 10 floors. The building is close to major transport links including TfL’s London Underground, Overground and bus services.
Aberdeen Standard Investment’s associate asset manager, Elaine McCann, said: “WeWork is an excellent addition to the community of occupiers at 12 Hammersmith Grove and further underlines the quality of the building.
“We look forward to announcing further lettings in due course.”
Global brands such as Disney and L’Oreal are based in the Hammersmith area, with this letting being a short walk away from Westfield.
Patrick Nelson, executive vice president at WeWork, also commented on the news: “We have an existing 20,000 member community in London which provides us with a unique and unrivaled understanding of the requirements of startups and entrepreneurs…
“We’re excited to announce our expansion in West London with our latest WeWork location, in 12 Hammersmith Grove. This is our 23rd WeWork to be announced in the UK.”
