Site of former Centurion pub in Darwen sold for £400k
A three-acre residential site in Darwen has sold for a six-figure sum.
Commercial property consultancy Nolan Redshaw negotiated the sale on behalf of a developer from an asking price of £400k.
The land, where the former Centurion Public House was on Higher Croft Road, is set to be turned into sheltered housing.
Planning permission is already in place for 14 residents units.
Paul Nolan of Nolan Redshaw said: “This is an attractive tree-lined site but it had significant legal issues to overcome.
“These matters have all been dealt with and I look forward to seeing Hildale developing much needed sheltered housing on the site.”
