Bruntwood kicks off North West investment programme with £1m refurb at Trafford House
Property company Bruntwood has invested £1m to improve customer facilities at its Trafford House building in Old Trafford.
The 134,000 sq ft office site on Chester Road is offering new amenities to improve the experience for occupants, including a lounge and outdoor terrace, events area, fitness space, showers and changing facilities.
For the building’s fitness offer, Bruntwood struck a partnership with global health brand Les Mills to provide virtual exercise classes throughout the day.
Another similar agreement will see Altius Healthcare deliver classes promoting employee wellbeing.
New co-working space has also been created with the seven-figure investment, bringing hot desks along with serviced and managed office options to Trafford House.
Bruntwood’s head of asset management, Andrew Cooke, said: “The workspaces and facilities that we have created at Trafford House are more in demand than ever.
“This is not just the case in the city centre - many companies seek more affordable options further afield. Old Trafford is becoming an increasingly attractive hotspot for businesses because it boasts good transport links to the city centre.”
Andrew continued: “Out of town locations like Old Trafford offer more accessible rents to start-ups and smaller companies and when you combine this with the type of amenities associated with city centre working in the way we have provided at Trafford House, you have an ideal location for a business to thrive.”
The changes at Trafford House represent the first of a number of planned investments from Bruntwood across the North West, with similar refurbs scheduled for Booths Park in Knutsford and Wilderspool, Warrington.
