Leeds language communications firm joins UK industry group ADS
ADS, the trade organisation representing the UK’s aerospace, defence, security and space sectors, has welcomed thebigword as a new member.
The Leeds-based technology firm is believed to be the largest language services provider among the 1,000-strong membership of the industry group.
thebigword, which founded its defence division five years ago, serves clients including NATO, the UK Ministry of Defence, the US Department of Defense and BAE Systems.
Larry Gould, chief executive and founder of thebigword, said: “We stand ready to offer specialist language services to ADS members, providing everything they need from onsite interpreters anywhere in the world to bespoke training courses on cultural and language issues.
“We founded our defence division to fill a gap in the market and provide organisations and governments with specialist language support in challenging situations where fast and accurate communication is critical.

thebigword made its debut as an exhibitor at the defence and security event DSEI in London last week.
