Newcastle company one of the first to deliver new Management Apprenticeships

Newcastle based, international management and leadership training provider, Eliesha Training has announced that they have commenced delivery of the new reformed Management Apprenticeship programmes, making them one of the first suppliers in the UK to do so.

In April 2017, the Government completely overhauled the national apprenticeship system by moving from Frameworks to Standards and introducing the ‘Apprenticeship Levy’. This required UK employers with a wage bill of more than £3 million to pay 0.5% of their total payroll into a levy fund.

Employers can then claim back their levy contribution if they commit to training apprenticeships under a new set of guidelines, including the updated rules that apprentices can be new or existing employees and can be of any age. Smaller organisations that are not required to pay the levy will receive 90% of apprenticeship programme costs as a contribution from the Government.

Eliesha Training is a main provider on the Register of Apprenticeship Providers (RoATP); a database of pre-approved training providers with the experience and skills the Government requires to deliver the new reformed apprenticeship programmes to the required standards of quality, competence and compliance.
