Law Firm Underlines Commitment to Staff with Appointment of New HR Director
Leading regional law firm, Coffin Mew, has appointed personnel expert Liz Cheaney as Director of HR and Communications.
In an ever-growing trend for the firm, Liz returns to Coffin Mew having previously enjoyed a six-year tenure at the practice.
With more than 20 years’ experience in the professional service sector, Liz brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the firm, alongside a fresh approach to staff development and the strategic growth of Coffin Mew.
Liz’s roots are deeply set in the legal industry, having studied Law at Birmingham University; she is also a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, and a qualified member of the British Psychological Society and Institute of Occupational Safety and Health.
Liz’s return comes at an optimum moment for Coffin Mew, as the firm increases its position across the south following its successful merger with Charles Lucas & Marshall earlier this year.
“I am pleased to be joining Coffin Mew once again. It truly is a law firm on the rise, and a first-rate employer,” commented Liz. “I want to help the company build on its reputation as an excellent graduate employer and develop its in-house staff services and provision across the board. Coffin Mew is embarking on an exciting period of growth and I am very much looking forward to helping shape that from an HR perspective.”
CEO, Miles Brown added: “We are delighted to welcome Liz back to the Coffin Mew fold. She will be a real asset to our firm – particularly given how well versed in our systems, ethos and company values she is. With her experience and industry knowledge, I am sure that Liz will, once again, become an invaluable member of the team.”
