Penrith firm renews Blood and Transplant vehicle livery deal with NHS
Cumbrian fleet branding company Ast Transport Branding has re-secured a contract with the NHS that will see it apply livery to all the organisation’s Blood and Transplant vehicles.
Under the three-year deal, the Penrith-based firm will work on elements of the NHS Blood and Transport fleet including emergency response vehicles, staff and volunteer transport and other specialist vehicles.
The contract follows on from a similar five-year agreement signed in 2012.
Ast Transport Branding was chosen for renewal after an NHS panel deemed the company to be the most economically advantageous tender.
Ast Transport Branding commercial director Adam Wellings said: “We’re all absolutely delighted to be re-awarded the NHS contract, I feel it is a real testament to the excellent job we provide at Ast, with national firms relying on our services.”
The new NHS contract will run until August 31 2019 but has an option to be extended until August 2020.
Earlier this year, Ast Transport Branding teamed up with two racing drivers as they launched a title challenge in their Team Parker Racing Bentley Continental GT3.
