Employees from Hays in Leeds take on Yorkshire 3 Peaks in aid of Action for Children
Employees from Hays in Leeds have conquered new heights to climb Yorkshire’s three tallest peaks in aid of Action for Children, the leading children’s charity.
As part of a new nationwide charity partnership between Hays and Action for Children, staff from the Hays office in Leeds have so far raised £820 for the cause, and are set to reach £1,000 with donations still coming in.
Employees who took on the trek were Sophie Roscoe, Steph McKay, James Douglas, Henry Clarkson, Adam Valentine, Andy Craven, Kerry Ferguson, Nicola Beach and Claire McMannus.
Speaking about the challenge, Sophie Roscoe, Recruitment Consultant at Hays, said: “We set off bright and early to tackle the three peaks, and despite a handful of pulled muscles, blisters and sprained knees along the way, we made it to the finish. The challenge was a great way to kick off our regional fundraising activity for our new charity partner, and we’d like to thank everyone who has supported us so far.”
As part of the charity partnership, staff from Hays offices across the country will undertake a number of fundraising activities throughout the next twelve months to fund an employability programme for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds struggling to get their foot on the work ladder.
