Work commences on £3.6m office scheme in Ilkley
Construction work has now commenced on a £3.6m, 30,000 sq ft office scheme in West Yorkshire for Leeds-based development company Oakapple.
The three-story office development, with surface level car parking, is being built on a site off Lower Railway Road in Ilkley by building group Construction Partnership UK (CPUK Group).
The contract is the latest project that CPUK Group has been appointed to deliver for Oakapple.
Steve Burke, CPUK Group managing director, said: “We are delighted to have been appointed by Oakapple to construct this high-quality office project in Ilkley.
“It is pleasing that we are seeing a growing level of repeat business as our order book continues to develop in all sectors. It is also the latest in a rising number of office projects we have been appointed to build across the North of England.
“We continue to concentrate hard to get our prime costs down all the time, working closely with all our clients to deliver real value. It is a partnership approach that is really paying off for all concerned.”
The Ilkley office development, designed by Leeds-based Niemen Architects, will have a BREEAM ‘Very Good’ rating once completed. The building work is expected to be completed in December this year.
CPUK Group will also use all its experience of working on logistically challenging sites to deliver the project, which sits close to railway lines and an adjacent construction site.
Steve Burke added: “The development is being built close to the local rail line and construction is already taking place nearby, which brings restrictions, so a co-ordinated and planned approach to the project is vital.”
Founded in March 2000, CPUK Group is an independent building and civil engineering companies with an annual turnover of £50m.
