£2.7m bank building on Liverpool’s Bold Street brought to auction
A Liverpool high street bank property valued at around £2.7m is going to auction next month.
The Halifax branch building on Bold Street is one of seven Halifax sites being sold with a collective value of £20m.
Online auction business John Pye Property will manage the sale when it takes place next month (November 15-16).
Richard Reed, head of property at John Pye, said: “This is a unique investment opportunity for this area and we expect to see massive interest from national and overseas investors.
“Along with the other branches, this is a significant portfolio of properties being sold.”
He added: “It is recognised that banks are secure tenants and there are long leases remaining on the buildings from long standing tenants.”
The November sale will be one of John Pye’s biggest to date, with the guide prices of the eight bank buildings ranging from £1m to £4.5m.
Simon Hunt of real estate services giant JLL, the LPA receiver on the branch buildings, commented: “As LPA receiver I need to ensure that I sell property assets for the best sale price and with John Pye’s extensive database of active buyers and their global reach, […] I am confident that they will generate a large amount of interest.”
Headquartered on Old Bond Street in London’s Mayfair area, John Pye Property has offices across the UK. Its Northern hub is located in Manchester.
