Bromley & Orpington business celebrates anniversary milestone
A domestic cleaning company which operates across Bromley, Orpington and Bexleyheath is celebrating its fifteenth year in business, having launched in 2002.
The company, Merry Maids is part of one of the UK’s largest domestic cleaning franchises and locally employs 18 maids and a supervisor, with a number of staff having been employed for over 11 years. Merry Maids Bromley and Orpington has also served a number of customers for over 12 years, including 97-year-old, Mrs Clarke of Bromley.
Mrs Clarke, said: “I’ve only ever used Merry Maids and I do look forward to the ladies’ visit each week. My house is left clean and fresh and I’m thankful for the amount of care and attention they pay to my home.”
Ian Stringer, director of Merry Maids of Bromley and Orpington added: “I left a career in Banking to start my dream of owning my own business and I haven’t looked back since. To achieve this milestone is no mean feat and I’m proud of the hard work we’ve put in to reach this stage. Here’s to the next 15!”

Merry Maids is a franchise of ServiceMaster UK, which has been franchising in the UK for nearly 60 years. Merry Maids was founded in 1979 and came to the UK in 1990.
