Manchester law firm nabs £3m funding for property business McGoff Group
Law firm Beyond Corporate has advised property business McGoff Group on the finance driving a new community village scheme in Greater Manchester.
The company, part of Beyond Professional Services Group, concluded a transaction that secured £3m in development funding for the project.
Located on the corner of Turnbull Road and Sinderland Road in Broadheath, the scheme comprises a family-friendly restaurant to be operated by Greene King, a day nursery and a community hall for the Broadheath Community Association.
Nina Latham, associate director at Manchester-based Beyond Corporate, lead on the deal with support from Matthew Ko.
She commented: “This was a complex transaction involving several different parties and a relatively complex equity funding structure.
“I am delighted that the team and I were able to advise the McGoff Group on what is a significant project for the local community.”
McGoff Group director Chris McGoff commented: “We have been working on the community village scheme for approximately five years and it has taken time to fit all the jigsaw pieces together and get to this stage.
“I have no doubt that the project will be of a huge benefit to the local residents in Broadheath and we are pleased that construction has started. It has been a pleasure working with Nina and her team at Beyond Corporate.”
Beyond’s Matt Fleetwood said: “The McGoff Group is developing a great business model and both the business and the people behind it are a pleasure to work with.
“This transaction has been a lengthy procedure, but the result is excellent, and I’d like to congratulate the McGoff brothers on this achievement.”
