Yorkshire asbestos surveying business to grow team by 50%
Asbestos surveying company RPP Asbestos Services is set to grow its team by 50% this year.
The firm, part of Yorkshire-based construction consultancy Rex Procter & Partners, now employs a nine-strong team after hiring Dean Lambert for the role of asbestos consultant and Carl Smith as a trainee asbestos surveyor.
The company confirmed plans to appoint at least two more consultants over the coming months.
RPP Asbestos Services divisional director Craig Reardon said: “We originally launched RPP Asbestos Services in response to existing clients continually requesting assistance with asbestos issues and the company has now grown into a key part of the overall RPP Group.
“The reality is that large numbers of companies don’t understand their responsibilities and duties under The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and as a result, people are still unnecessarily being exposed to asbestos on a daily basis.”
Speaking further, Craig said newcomers Dean and Carl were hired on the back of a “hugely rewarding” year that saw RPP snap up “a wide range of national work from a number of household names”.
Discussing the appointments, he said: “They have both settled in and are already making a difference to our clients.
“We’re now currently looking for additional asbestos professionals to join our team over the coming months.”
Rex Procter & Partners operates across offices in Leeds, Bradford, Marlow and London.
