New MD takes the helm at Bristol housebuilder
Ian Menham has taken the reins at Bristol-based housebuilder, David Wilson Homes, coming on board as managing director.
It comes as the firm’s parent company, Barratt Developments, has posted strong growth in its latest financial report and retained its title as the UK’s largest housebuilder.
Ian will be based at David Wilson Homes South West’s Bristol headquarters and responsible for managing the 200-strong workforce across the region. Currently the division is overseeing the construction and sale of nearly 2,000 homes at 16 different developments, spanning from Cullompton in the south to Cirencester in the north.
Having worked in the construction industry for more than 30 years, Ian’s career history includes holding managing director roles at some of the UK’s biggest housebuilding firms.
Ian, who recently transferred from Barratt Homes Southern Counties, said: “I’m proud to join the team at David Wilson Homes in the south west. The company, a part of the Barratt Developments Group, has a reputation for five-star quality and one of my big focuses will be on maintaining these impeccable standards across all areas of our business.
“The housebuilding industry is an exciting one to work in and I look forward to helping the team bring not just homes but new communities to the south west.”
