Newcastle’s Aura reappointed to NEPO framework
The North East Procurement Organisation (NEPO) has re-appointed Newcastle-based Aura to its Construction and Engineering consultancy service framework.
The four year framework, worth an estimated £4.5m each year, provides a compliant value for money route for public services looking to procure a range of engineering and professional services.
Aura, which specialises in building consultancy, construction, asset management and investment, has already placed over £270m of work and services with local North East businesses via the framework.
In turn, this has created 800 work experience placements and 80 apprenticeships across community projects which have included developments such as the Library refurbishment for Teesside University and the Science Central Laboratory Project in Newcastle.
Kirsty Thirlwell, Chief Executive at Aura, said: “The NEPO framework has delivered significant benefits to the communities of the North East over the last four years and we look forward to continuing that work with this appointment.
“The tender process was robust and rigorous but we were able to demonstrate a proven track record in high quality delivery of services at best value to the public purse.”
