Pochin's to deliver £3.3m warehouse scheme for SMEs in Lancashire
North West property and construction firm Pochin’s Ltd has signed a multi-million pound extension to its relationship with industrial developer Chancerygate.
The Middlewich-headquartered company secured a contract, worth £3.3m, to deliver a new warehouse at the Eaton Point scheme in Chorley.
The 50,000 sq ft development has planning consent for 13 units, starting from 3,300 sq ft and geared towards Lancashire’s SME sector.
The project is Pochin’s second deal with Chancerygate. The firm is currently on site delivering a 57,000 sq ft distribution centre that will be occupied by international parcel delivery business DPD.
Pochin’s chief exec Jim Nicholson said: “As a business, we are committed to developing long-term relationships with the people we work with and Chancerygate is no different.
“Our shared knowledge and experience in the industrial sector makes for a fruitful partnership and we look forward to working closely with the team to deliver this latest project.”
Chancerygate development director Mike Walker commented: “We are delighted to be working with Pochin’s once more, especially given their track record in the North West.
“There is already a high level of interest in the scheme with over 30 per cent of the space now under offer on a pre-sale basis.”
The project team includes architects Fletcher Rae and consultants Bradbrook Consulting and Cudd Bentley Consulting and Feasibility. The scheme’s agents are Savills and Robert Pinkus & Co.
Work will start this month. Completion is due in June 2018.
