Manchester United sign three-year deal with sports nutrition partner
Manchester United have signed a new deal with Lancashire-based sports nutrition company Science in Sport plc (SiS).
The agreement, running from January 2018 to the end of May 2021, will make Nelson-headquartered SiS the club’s Official Sports Nutrition Partner in Europe.
SiS develops, manufactures and markets nutrition products for professional athletes and sports enthusiasts.
The company will now be able to benefit from Manchester United’s 90m-strong follower base in Europe, as well as a presence on the MUFC website, which attracts more than 5.8m unique visitors each month.
In turn, United will be provided with a dedicated performance nutritionist, who will advise on nutritional strategies. SiS will also install a Fuel Station within the club’s AON Training Complex, giving players and staff direct access to SiS products every day.
Stephen Moon, chief exec of SiS, said: “Football is a major growth opportunity for Science in Sport and this partnership will provide a substantial platform for our marketing efforts in the sport, by interacting with almost 90 million Manchester United fans across Europe.
“We are proud to be in partnership with the world’s most popular football club. It is testament to the quality of our science and innovation, product superiority and our best in class banned substance testing.”
SiS currently has relationships with more than 40 English and Scottish League clubs, including nine in the English Premier League.
