Dow Schofield Watts targets Yorkshire and North East with new advisory arm
Advisory firm Dow Schofield Watts is launching a new service for individuals, company owners and family investment businesses in Yorkshire and the North East.
Richard Major, a Yorkshire tax advisor with more than 17 years’ experience, joined the Warrington-headquartered company to lead its new operation, Dow Schofield Watts Private Client Tax LLP.
He will be based at the firm’s Leeds office.
Dow Schofield Watts said the new venture will focus on tax efficiency and enhancing client wealth through simple, non-aggressive planning.
Richard, a chartered taxation adviser and member of the Association of Taxation Technicians, said: “I joined Dow Schofield Watts as I saw it as a big opportunity to work within a firm with a strong reputation and a highly-regarded team.
“This gives me a solid foundation to provide a high quality service that is complementary to the group’s existing offering.”
Roger Esler, who heads up Dow Schofield Watts’ team in Yorkshire and the North East, commented: “Richard’s appointment will further expand the range of specialist advisory services offered by Dow Schofield Watts in Yorkshire and the North East which already includes corporate finance, financial due diligence, wealth management and forensic services.
“This appointment is core to our unique proposition of genuine partner-led delivery across a range of complex financial disciplines and further demonstrates our commitment to this dynamic region.”
