Key promotion for Barratt Homes Bristol as division gears up for continued growth
Five star housebuilder Barratt Homes is gearing up for a period of sustained growth in the Bristol region by strengthening its construction department.
Wayne Cole has been promoted to projects director as the Bristol-based division lays foundations for further growth.
Wayne moves from the role of construction manager to support the planned growth of the division which has recently announced a number of key developments.
Barratt Homes managing director Russell Glimstead said he was delighted to announce the promotion of Wayne who joined the housebuilder as an assistant site manager in 2001.
“We have just confirmed plans for key new developments at Ladden Garden Village in North Yate and Wichelstowe in Swindon and Wayne will be an integral part of delivering these large-scale new developments in particular,” said Russell.
“As a division we will be building almost 800 units per year and Wayne’s promotion strengthens the construction department and will help ensure we continue to deliver five star quality on all of our developments.”
A total of 2,450 new homes are set to be built at Ladden Garden Village in North Yate including provision for 800 affordable homes.
In Swindon, Barratt Developments has announced a joint venture with Swindon Borough Council to build 2,750 new homes with the first homes due to be complete in 2019.
“These are exciting times for Barratt Bristol and as the company celebrates its 60th anniversary we will be playing a key role in providing new homes for many years to come,” said Russell.
