Bolton businessman creates seven jobs with new estate and lettings agency

A new estate agency and lettings business has launched in Bolton.

Price & Co opened its doors and created seven jobs with the help of six-figure funding from Royal Bank of Scotland.

Businessman Karl Price, who also owns Bolton-based PC Electrical (UK) Ltd, is the entrepreneur behind the new firm.

Price & Co, operating from premises in Wingates House on Chorley Road, will cover Westhoughton, Blackrod, Horwich, Over Hulton and the surrounding Bolton and Manchester areas.

Wingates House will also now serve as the home of PC Electrical (UK) Ltd.

Karl said: “Having successfully established PC Electrical (UK) Ltd over the last 20 years, I decided to begin investing in property.

“As a landlord, I understand first hand, every element of the acquisition and lettings process and the support required from agents throughout.”

He continued: “I felt that there is a real gap in the local market for an agency that provides a dedicated approach to both property management and sales and as a result I decided to set up Price & Co.

“It is my intention that we will provide customers with a much more personalised experience and unrivalled level of service whether they’re buying, selling or renting a property in the area.”

RBS senior relationship manager Gavin Elmes commented: “Having worked with Karl for almost two decades, I feel that I understand his aspirations and business requirements well.

“I am pleased that we have been able to support his launch of Price & Co whilst also continuing our work with his electrical contracting firm.

He added: “Karl has a great understanding of the property industry and the requirements of investors and landlords. We wish him the very best with this venture.”
