Jobs lost as dispute puts Wetherby building firm Haresign out of business
Yorkshire construction company Haresign Limited has fallen into administration with the loss of 11 jobs.
The Wetherby-based firm experienced difficulties through its involvement in a project to create a new wedding venue at Wharefedale Grange, near Harewood Bridge.
A dispute in the development led to the termination of Haresign’s contract, causing significant cashflow problems for the business.
The company was placed in the hands of joint administrators Julian Pitts and Bob Maxwell, from the Leeds office of Begbies Traynor, on March 26.
Haresign Limited focused on niche construction projects, including commercial and residential developments around West and North Yorkshire.
In addition to its 11 staff, the firm also worked with a number of contractors.
The joint administrators said they are currently investigating the dispute with a view to ensuring the best outcome for Haresign’s creditors.
