Üllo launches exclusively with Harrods
Üllo is the Chicago based startup that introduced the innovative Üllo Wine Purifier to the UK in September 2017. Following a successful launch, the brand has announced that its product range will now be available within luxury UK department store, Harrods.
Harrods will be stocking the Üllo product range as a UK exclusive within ‘The Fine Wines and Spirits Rooms’ in the famous Knightsbridge store which has recently undergone a refurbishment.
Üllo was set up by American entrepreneur James Kornacki, who holds a doctorate in chemistry from Northwestern University. Kornacki was inspired to create the first-of-its-kind product after he learnt that his aunt was unable to drink wine because of her intolerance to sulfites, a chemical that is added to wine as a preservative.
It was then that he made it his mission to use his scientific acumen to create a filter that would allow consumers to enjoy wine as if their bottle was opened right at the vineyard. This journey led James to develop the brand’s innovative Selective Sulfite Capture™ technology, and since then the company has continued to grow.
As well the Üllo Wine Purifier, Üllo also offers the Selective Sulfite Capture Filters™ and a wider product range including carafes and decanters. In addition to Harrods, Üllo is also currently stocked within a range of other prominent retailers across the world including Bloomingdales in the US, El Corte Inglés in Spain and Amazon globally.
Founder of the brand, James Kornacki, commented: “Harrods is an iconic destination in London so we’re delighted that the Üllo product range will be available there. It’s particularly exciting that the product range will be available within the designated wine department, which will no doubt attract a broad range of clientel.“
