Australasia travel specialist set for move to Leeds city centre's Platform building
Austravel, the Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific travel specialist, is set to move into Bruntwood’s flagship Platform building in Leeds city centre.
Austravel has agreed a six-year lease on a 2,763 sq ft unit on the 4th floor of the 13-storey building, as it relocates its Leeds office from Brunswick Court, where it has been based for around 20 years.
Austravel’s 26-strong team will complete the move to Platform in March 2018.
Lesley Rollo, Managing Director, Austravel and Hayes & Jarvis, commented: “We are pleased to announce the relocation of Austravel’s Leeds team to Platform.
“As well as providing a new and innovative workspace for Austravel, we are also delighted to welcome part of the Hayes & Jarvis team, another one of our sister companies, to the building as well.
“This move represents a very exciting time for our brands as we continue to grow our business in the area.”
National commercial property consultancy, Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH), completed the deal to bring Austravel to Platform.
Rachel Vickers, surveyor at LSH’s Leeds office, added: “Austravel’s relocation to Platform will provide the business with a significantly higher quality office accommodation.
“The first-class working environment and highly accessible location will enable them to enact a positive change to their business. We wish them all the best in their new premises.”
The 120,000 sq ft grade A office building, which is owned and managed by serviced office specialist Bruntwood, underwent a redevelopment in 2016. Other occupiers include digital design house Lightstar, Shoosmiths and Allsop.
